Mediation - bridging the gap

After months of hard work behind the scenes, Three Stone is proud to launch its new Mediation group, Three Stone Mediation. Three Stone Mediation is a boutique mediation group with a particular focus on disputes that fall within the work of the Business and Property Courts.

Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution. In other words, it’s a way of settling a legal dispute without going to court. It is voluntary, and it’s confidential; and if it’s successful it costs considerably less than going to court. It will also be much quicker than going to court, and it has the value of certainty: the parties agree the terms on which they settle their dispute: they, not the court, are in control.

With courts becoming increasingly strong in recommending it, mediation is likely to become compulsory in an increasing number of cases in the near future. For some, the concept of it throws up a lot of questions.

Our team has answered many of those questions over on the Three Stone Mediation group website – with short videos answering some of the most common questions; from ‘What are the likely costs of mediation?’ to ‘What should go into a mediation bundle?’.
