We advise on all aspects of coverage disputes on behalf of insureds, insurers and reinsurers and have been involved in much of the multi-party litigation that has taken place over the last 25 years acting on behalf of Lloyd’s Names (including for example the Gooda Walker Action Group and the Sturge Names Action Group as well as individual Names), Lloyd’s syndicates and Lloyd’s brokers. In the process we have gained a detailed understanding of the Lloyd’s market.
Members are equally experienced in large-scale, multi-party litigation in the Commercial Court as in claims on behalf of individual insureds against their insurers or brokers (or acting for insurers and brokers defending such claims).
Our work frequently involves insurance and reinsurance arbitrations and advising and appearing for insurers on insurance business transfer schemes and schemes of arrangement.
