Overview

Emma’s practice encompasses a wide variety of commercial and chancery work, with a particular emphasis on insolvency law. Emma was called to the Bar in 2008 and joined chambers following the successful completion of her pupillage.

Emma has advocacy experience in both the High Court and the County Court and accepts instructions to appear in interim applications, trials and appeals. Emma has acted on a pro bono basis through the Company Insolvency Pro Bono Scheme.

In addition to her advocacy work, Emma advises at every stage of litigation and has experience of both contentious and non-contentious drafting. Emma is one of the editors of the most recent edition of Schaw Miller and Bailey: Personal Insolvency: Law and Practice (ed). (LexisNexis Butterworths) London, 6th edition, 2022 and has contributed to Lexis PSL Restructuring and Insolvency and Lexis PSL Legal News Analysis.

Since July 2013 Emma has acted as an adjudicator in relation to cases referred to the Communication and Internet Services Adjudication Scheme.
