Introduction
- This Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy is made on behalf of Three Stone Chambers (“Chambers”). Chambers is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. The aim of this policy is to declare that commitment and to set out the practical steps that Chambers takes to further this commitment.
Our Business
- Barristers in Chambers provide legal services. We have conducted a risk assessment and have concluded that the risk of modern slavery or human trafficking within Chambers’ business and supply chains is low. Chambers’ supply chains are limited and primarily include the procurement of goods and services necessary for the operation of Chambers. These may include legal research services, office supplies, and IT support, among others.
Commitments
- Notwithstanding the low risk of modern slavery or human trafficking within Chambers’ business and supply chains, Chambers commits to:
a. Encouraging all members and employees of Chambers to report any concerns related to modern slavery or human trafficking.
b. Ensuring that any reports are thoroughly investigated and appropriate action taken.
c. Offering training to members and employees of Chambers where it is considered necessary.
d. Seeking to work with suppliers who uphold the same standards as Chambers.
e. Reviewing and assessing supply chains to identify and address potential risks.
Conclusion
- Chambers is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. Chambers will review and update this policy as necessary to reflect our ongoing efforts to combat these practices.
