Administration

Chambers is administered by a dedicated team of skilled and highly experienced clerks, under the leadership of the Senior Clerk – Justin Brown, who will recommend the right barrister (or right team of barristers) for a case.

Justin has worked as a clerk in Lincoln’s Inn for over 25 years. He helped to found chambers and continues to lead Three Stone with John McDonnell KC. Justin is assisted by Gary Bateman, Bill Rice, Steve Anten and Frank Lee.

Our clerks have known and worked with each other for many years; and are well-known and respected by solicitors and their colleagues in other chambers both in London and elsewhere. Each of them has a strong working relationship with all the departments of the High Court and are happy to offer advice on listing matters.

Chambers is open from 8.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. A member of the clerking team is always available outside office hours if assistance is required urgently and they can be contacted on the numbers provided.

We welcome instructions from solicitors (whether in private practice or in-house), qualified foreign lawyers, and other clients licensed to give instructions directly to barristers under the Licensed Access Scheme. In some circumstances barristers may be able to accept instructions from clients in foreign  jurisdictions, or directly from companies and individuals in England and Wales under the Direct Public Access rules, and our clerks will advise about that. Professional, licensed access, and/or lay clients (as may be appropriate) may contact Chambers (via any barrister or the Clerks) to obtain a quotation for legal services.  For any questions please contact our clerks.
